3 Hot Drink Recipes for Winter

What better way to warm up on a cold day then with a nice hot delicious drink? Here are three hot drink recipes for winter easy and delicious drink recipes that are a perfect cure for your winter blues.

Hot Apple Cider

This non-alcoholic recipe is easy and makes a great family friendly activity.

Ingredients: All you’ll need is 64oz (or 8 cups) of apple juice, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ½ teaspoon brown sugar and ½ teaspoon nutmeg.

Directions: In a pot, pour in the apple juice and bring to a boil, then reduce to medium heat and stir in your spices. Once all is dissolved, you’re ready to serve. This recipe serves 4.

Hot Chocolate

Upgrade from the standard powered hot chocolate and try this simple hot chocolate for one recipe. You’ll be blown away at the taste difference.

Ingredients: 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon of table sugar, ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 cup of milk.

Directions: Over medium-low heat, pour ½ cup of milk, the cocoa powder, and the sugar into a pot and stir. Once completely dissolved, turn to medium-high heat and add in the rest of the milk and vanilla. Once blended, it’s ready to drink. This recipe serves 1.

Hot Chai Latte  

Bring the taste of your favorite café home with this easy recipe.

Ingredients: 1 chai tea bag, ½ cup of milk, pinch of cinnamon and honey

Directions: Bring water to a boil then pour into a mug. Add in your chai tea bag. While the tea is steeping, warm 1/2 cup of milk over medium heat in a saucepan. Add in a pinch of cinnamon and whisk until it’s nice and frothy. Remove the tea bag from your mug and add in the frothy milk. For added sweetness, add a drop of honey. This recipe serves 1.
